If you’re passionate about supporting and encouraging new families during the postpartum period, this is your chance to get certified through two amazing doula training programs right here in Richmond, Virginia.
What Does a Postpartum Doula Do?
A Postpartum Doula is a highly trained professional who provides emotional, physical, and informational support to families after the birth of their baby. Their role includes:
Offering Emotional Support: Helping parents navigate the emotional rollercoaster of the early postpartum period.
Physical Assistance: Providing hands-on help with baby care, such as feeding, diapering, and sleep strategies.
Breastfeeding Support: Assisting with breastfeeding techniques, troubleshooting challenges, and offering encouragement.
Light Household Help: Taking the load off new parents with tasks like laundry, light kitchen clean-up, and organizing.
Meal Preparation: Helping families by preparing nourishing meals to support their recovery.
Providing Information: Guiding families on newborn care, lactation, and household routines.
Offering Relief: Giving parents the time to rest and recover by stepping in with light household tasks or caring for the baby.
Whether it’s daytime or nighttime, Postpartum Doulas are there to provide around-the-clock support when families need it most.

This training is an excellent way to dive into the world of postpartum care and become a postpartum doula in just two days. The certification process is included in the price, so no extra fees will come your way.!

Dates: May 21-23, 2025 Cost: $625 (Additional $255 for certification process) Website: Doula Training Center of VA
The Doula Training Center offers another fantastic opportunity to get your certification. **While the initial cost is $625, keep in mind there is an additional $255 for the certification process.
Once you are fully trained, we would love to get the chance to know you and see if you would be a great addition to our team!
